<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system for enabling a user to easily acquire his/her desired information. <P>SOLUTION: A user terminal 30 automatically requests an information management server 20 to inquire distribution situations of contents the user wants to acquire for each fixed period through a network. When an information distribution server 10 stores newly received distributable contents, the information management server 20 transmits to the user terminal 30 the URL of the contents and notification information for notifying that the contents are distributable. When the user terminal 30 receives the notification information, the user terminal 30 notifies the user that the newly received contents are distributable by characters on the screen, an image, a sound output or the like. When the user inputs a request to acquire the newly received contents, the user terminal 30 transmits the received URL to the information distribution server 10 to request the information distribution server 10 to acquire the contents.
