PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a skin to a core material while preventing the penetration of a liquid resin in the mating surface of a first mold and a second mold, and a molding machine for forming the skin suitable therefor. SOLUTION: In the method 1 for forming the skin to the core material, the core material 15 is set to the first mold 2 to clamp the first mold 2 to the second mold 3 and inject a liquid resin in the gap 10 formed between the core material 15 and the second mold 3. The skin forming molding machine is fitted to this method. An elastomer 5 is arranged to the clamping surface 2b of the first mold 2 or the clamping surface 3b of the second mold to prevent the outflow of the liquid resin 20 from the gap 10.
