PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit building and a building unit capable of enlarging a habitable space in a horizontal direction and forming an open ceiling space continuous with the habitable space. SOLUTION: This unit building 1 is provided with at least four building units 4, 5 each having an approximately rectangular parallelepiped skeleton formed including columns and beams, and a slanting roof 6 provided on the building units 4, 5. The respective building units 4, 5 have column omitted corner parts A each formed omitting one column, and arranged in the abutting state of the column omitted corner parts A. Beam omitted parts B are formed on the slanting roof 6 side adjoining the column omitted corner parts A of the building units 4, 5, and a reinforcing beam 20 is laid between the building units 4, 5 adjoining in one direction, in a direction to intersect the beam omitted parts B.
