NATURAL LANGUAGE TEXT SEARCH METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a search method and device capable of conducting fast pattern searches on an assembly of natural language texts in such a manner as to take the order of words and the like into consideration. SOLUTION: The method for searching an assembly of natural language texts includes using a conversion code table in which each component unit of the natural language texts and a fixed-length code uniquely defined corresponding to each component unit are stored in association with each other; configuring a coded-text database that stores an assembly of coded texts such that each component unit of the natural language texts is converted to the fixed-length code while information on the order of the component units of each natural language text is held; and searching the coded-text database by means of the fixed-length codes.
