PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting facility, in which the number of times of action of a push-pull drive unit is reduced so as to increase the service life of the sorting facility. SOLUTION: In a case where articles n<SB>1</SB>, n<SB>1</SB>+1, n<SB>1</SB>+2, and n<SB>1</SB>+3 are continuously sorted to a single branch conveyor 112C, a sorting guide 52C is moved to a sorting guide position A before the article n1 at the head to be sorted to the branch conveyor 112C reaches a branch point, and after the article n1+3 at the end passes the branch point, the sorting guide 52C is moved to a sorted position B. The push-pull drive unit is thus actuated only twice, and the number of times of action of the push-pull drive unit can be greatly reduced.
