PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for cosmetics that does not damage or distort a container body and/or a cosmetic plate when installing the cosmetic plate to the container body, does not damage cosmetic plate or cosmetics by vibratory motion or impact, and also does not require any adhesive agent. SOLUTION: The container is equipped with the container body 1 on which a depressed section 1a for containing cosmetics is formed on the upper surface, a cover 2 that covers the upper surface of the container body 1, and an inner plate mechanism that is contained inside the depressed section 1a for containing cosmetics of the container body 1. This inner plate mechanism is composed of the cosmetic plate 4 that is filled with solid cosmetics 4a and a plate-type container 5 that is made of an elastic material and where the cosmetic plate 4 is placed on top and contained within. A protrusion 13 is formed on the side wall of the plate-type container 5 and a depressed groove 17 that is engaged detachably with the protrusion 13 is formed at a part of the inner periphery surface of the depressed section 1a for containing cosmetics of the container body 1 that corresponds to the protrusion 13.
