The retainer (1) has a projecting portion (16) that is flexible in a direction parallel to the axis of symmetry of an axisymmetrical component such as a duct or a pipe (3) when a portion of the duct or pipe is in housing position. The projecting portion is designed to cooperate with the portion of the duct or pipe within the seats (5,6) to clamp it in housing position. The seats are designed to house a portion of the duct or pipe. A snap-action closing wall (15) is provided for the insertion opening (12) of the seats.
