The internal combustion engine exhaust gas particle filter (1) has a filter (2) body in a large diameter region (3) with longitudinally-extending partitions (12). The partitions divide the body into several separate segments (9,9'). Raw exhaust gas passes through a small diameter pipe (4) to a funnel (18) expanding to the large diameter of the filter. There is a small diameter pipe (5) at the downstream end of the filter (7) with perforations (16) inside a diameter reducing funnel (6) with seals made of wires (10) and frames (11).
