The road vehicle door has a hollow pocket (3) formed between an inner panel (1) and an outer panel (2). A sealing element (34) carrying a damping element (32) surrounds an aperture in the outer panel. The damping element holds a flange (28) on a tube (17) which slides into an outer guide tube (14) and is expanded by a wedge (20) moved by a screw (25). A buffer (38) fits on the head (26) of the screw. The outer guide tube has a holder (8) welded (11,12) to the inner door panel.
