<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive electric equipment which performs the cooling control of a power supply unit more efficiently in accordance with the power consumption of the electric equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The electric equipment 1 is provided with a power supply unit 11 which supplies electric power into the electric equipment 1, a CPU (control unit 16) provided with a plurality of modes each having a correlation with the calorific value of the power supply unit 11, a cooling fan 12 for cooling the power supply unit 11, a fan rotational speed control unit 165 for controlling the fan rotational speed of the cooling fan 12, and a full-on mode rate detecting section 164 for detecting the rate of a time when the CPU operates in the full-on mode.
