PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix substrate which has drain leading-out wiring prevented from being disconnected without installing a plurality of active elements such as a TFT (thin film transistor), a MIM (metal-insulating layer-metal) element, a MOS transistor element, a diode, and a varistor and can be suitably used in a liquid crystal display device provided with a large-sized liquid crystal display screen, like a large-sized liquid crystal TV. SOLUTION: The active matrix substrate has drain leading-out wiring of an active element and a holding capacity upper electrode connected to each other, and the drain leading-out wiring has two or more paths.
