PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition which possesses not only the original excellent dielectric characteristics of a PPE (polyphenylene ether) resin composition but also the excellent adhesiveness of the resin to an inorganic filler, high moisture absorption resistance, and high electrolytic corrosion resistance, and to provide a prepreg and a laminate each using the same. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprising polyphenylene ether resin, an epoxy resin, a curing agent, a curing accelerator, and an inorganic filler is characterized in that the surface of the inorganic filler is treated with a silane coupling agent having an ammonium salt group as a substituent in a side chain.
