DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM, DIAGNOSTIC METHOD, TOOL AND COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic system with a programmable controller (PLC) capable of preventing the influence on the performance of the PLC by giving a determination logic to a component (equipment located on the downstream of the PLC) side.

SOLUTION: This diagnostic system comprises the component 33 performing at least either one of transmission or reception of control data (ON/OFF, analog) with the PLC 10; and a tool device 20 directly or indirectly connected to the component. The tool has the setting function of setting a diagnostic algorithm to be executed in the component and setting a parameter based on a parameter sheet paired with the diagnostic algorithm. The component performs diagnosis according to the diagnostic algorithm and parameter set by the tool, and has the function of outputting a diagnostic result by itself in a case of matching with a reporting condition such as abnormality regulated by the parameter.
