PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display calling attention information to a driver in a high-accident-frequency location or section, without giving feeling of troublesomeness to the driver. SOLUTION: A display device for a vehicle includes an own vehicle position detecting device 1 for detecting the current position of an own vehicle; a high accident frequency location/section database 2 for outputting positional information and accident statistic information concerning the location of high accident frequency and section on a road of the circumference of the current position of own vehicle, detected with own vehicle position detecting device 1; an attention-calling display control device 3 for generating attention calling information, on the basis of the accident statistical information output from the high accident frequency location/section database 2, generating attention-calling images, on the basis of the attention-calling information and controlling the display of the attention-calling images; and HUD 4 for displaying the attention-calling images output from the attention-calling display control device 3. The attention-calling display control device 3 controls so as to repeatedly display the attention calling images in the display duration time of range of under-threshold perception of the driver, during the high-accident frequency location or section of own vehicle.
