OPTICAL FILTER AND FILTER FOR PLASMA DISPLAY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter for a display that suppress the intake of an air bubble at a frame print edge step part and balances designability and light shielding property of display part peripheral part frame print of a PDP optical filter at a high level. SOLUTION: A frame print part is formed of a light shielding resin. A frame print layer can be formed which has sufficient light shielding property even when the film thickness is thin. The frame print part is provided with a protection layer to increase flaw resistance etc. Further, the frame print layer can have both thin film thickness and light shielding property even when colored not in black.
