PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static atomizing device capable of being supplied with water without troublesome work. SOLUTION: The static atomizing device A for generating mist by electrostatic atomization comprises a water absorbent 13 for absorbing water 2 from a water well 1, a voltage application electrode 3 for applying a high voltage to the water 2 absorbed by the water absorbent 13, and a counter electrode 4 disposed opposite to the application electrode 3 at a specified interval from the front end of the water absorbent 13. A communication part 6 having a water supply inlet 5 is connected to the water well 1. The water 2 can be supplied to the water well 1 through the communication part 6 from the water supply inlet 5.
