摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device for controlling a switching power supply being employed in electronic equipment in which efficiency of power supply can be improved furthermore. <P>SOLUTION: In the semiconductor device 46 for controlling a switching power supply comprising a switching element 1 and a switching operation control circuit, switching operation of the switching element 1 is controlled by comparing the output voltage VEAO from an I-V converter 21 for converting a current detected at a control terminal 45 into a voltage with a reference voltage VR preset with upper and lower limit voltages for detecting the waiting time, stopping switching operation of the switching element 1 when the output voltage VEAO from the I-V converter 21 becomes smaller than the lower limit voltage for detecting the waiting time, and resuming switching operation of the switching element 1 when the output voltage VEAO from the I-V converter 21 becomes larger than the upper limit voltage for detecting the waiting time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
