<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire attaching/detaching machine for a vehicle wheel, attaching/detaching a tire under a suitable work condition to both of a tire and a machine. <P>SOLUTION: The tire attaching/detaching machine for the vehicle wheel comprises at least one frame 2 supporting at least one movable structure 3, and supporting a grip rotating means 4 gripping a vehicular wheel rim to rotate about a rotation shaft R; and an arm 5 supporting tools 6a, 6b for attaching/detaching the tire to/from the rim, and disposed along a working direction L generally orthogonal to the rotation shaft R. The movable structure 3 comprises a first part 10a movably united to the frame 2, and a second part 10b movably united to the first part and supporting the grip rotating means 4. The first part 10a and the second part 10b work together to position the grip rotating means 4 at a working position. At the working position, the rotation shaft R and the working direction L intersect each other at one point in common.
