PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch in which the load adjustment of balancing springs is easily performed even after an electromagnetic device is built in. SOLUTION: The optical switch has the electromagnetic device 2 provided with: an armature 21; the balancing springs 27; an iron core 25; and a coil 23, wherein, the armature 21 has a main body part 21c, and a first armature strip 21a and a second armature strip 21b which are provided on both ends of the main body part, respectively, and each of the balancing spring 27 is connected to the main body part 21c of the armature 21 at the intermediate part of the both armature strips 21a and 21b in the direction connecting magnetic pole strips 25a and 25b. The optical switch is further provided with a spring energizing means 5 which has: an extended strip 6 projected from the balancing springs 27 substantially perpendicular to the moving direction of the armature 21; and a pair of position restricting parts 7a and 7b which are provided projectingly from the body facing to each other, the position restricting parts 7a and 7b energizing the load of the springs to the extended strip 6 in a direction in which another optical connection state takes place.
