PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly carry out the suppression of the generated slip, and further to improve the accelerating performance of a vehicle by securing the driving force after the termination of the slip. SOLUTION: A traction controlling apparatus for a vehicle comprises an adhesive coefficient calculating means 20, a target adhesive coefficient calculating means 21 for calculating target adhesive coefficientsμo(d),μo(e) to be used for the range from a slip recovery detection point d to a slip convergence detection point e and for the range after the slip convergence detection point e respectively based on the adhesive coefficient calculated valueμc(a), a target adhesive coefficient recovery means 22 for controlling driving wheels by determining the accelerator opening based on the calculated value of the target adhesive coefficientμo(d) in the range from the slip recovery detection point d to the slip termination detection point e, and a target adhesive coefficient increasing means 23 for controlling the driving wheels by determining the accelerator opening based on the calculated value of the target adhesive coefficientμo(e) in the range after the slip termination detection point e.
