<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial protein of HGF (hepatocyte growth factor), as mutant deleting in sugar chain of HGF alpha chain and in fragment of the alpha chain molecule, and to provide a method for preparing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the sugar chain-deficient type HGF alpha chain partial proteins having at least one sugar chain deleting in the sugar chain adding region of the HGF alpha chain, and any one of the following (a)-(c) proteins, having a hair pin domain on N-end and following four Kringle domains, having antagonist activity against HGF action mediated by c-Met/HGF receptor and having vascularization suppressing function, (a) a protein having amino acid sequence expressed by the 32nd position to 494th position of an amino acid sequence having a specific sequence, (b) a protein having amino acid sequence having 1-30 amino acids deleted, substituted, added or inserted in the 32nd position to 494th position of the above amino acid sequence, and (c) a protein having at least 80% of homology to the amino acids in the 32nd to 494th positions of the amino acid sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
