<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst system for cleaning nitrogen oxide using a catalyst containing no metal in which harmful property is pointed out and capable of efficiently performing cleaning of nitrogen oxide and a catalyst suppressing production of nitrogen oxide and capable of efficiently performing oxidation decomposition of slipped ammonia, and a cleaning method for nitrogen oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst system is provided with a first reaction part installed with a first catalyst containing, as an active ingredient, at least multicomponent oxide comprising two or more oxides selected from silica, alumina, titania, zirconia and tungsten oxide and a rare earth metal or a transition metal (Cu, Co, Ni, Mn, Cr and V are excluded); and a second reaction part installed with a second catalyst containing, as an active ingredient, at least a noble metal and a silica-alumina type multicomponent oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
