<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently edit MIDI data including a plurality of MIDI messages. <P>SOLUTION: On a MIDI data editing screen 200 of the MIDI data editing device for editing the MIDI data in byte units, byte data sequences corresponding to the plurality of MIDI messages are displayed as MIDI data to be edited at a MIDI data display part 211, a choice of a byte of one of the displayed byte data sequences is accepted, and a cursor 212 indicating the byte is displayed at the MIDI data display part 211. Then the MIDI message that the byte belongs to is detected and while respective bytes constituting the detected MIDI message are displayed discriminatingly from other bytes in the byte data sequence of the MIDI data display part 211, a text corresponding to the contents of the MIDI message is displayed at a text display part 230. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
