PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable preview of many broadcast materials in a short time with simple operation. SOLUTION: A server control apparatus 18 acquires information about an on-air program and management information thereof, obtains IN/OUT points of a program recording region from the management information, specifies reproduction portions of three points after the IN point, a center of the recording time and after the OUT point, designates the on-air program into a program server 11, and reproduces the reproduction portions for a predetermined period. The reproduced data are converted into video signals by a decoder 14, transmitted to a monitor display 17 via a switcher 15, and displayed. In a switching period between the reproducing portions, the switcher 15 is caused to select a CB signal to display a color bar. Since the predetermined portions of the on-air program is automatically successively reproduced, an operator can easily perform preview.
