PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building with an air cleaning function, particularly a building enabling the coexistence of highly airtight and highly heat insulating performance and air cleaning performance. SOLUTION: This building is formed of a wall material, a ceiling material, or a floor material containing a gas adsorbent having at least charcoal or activated charcoal. A rear space allowing the wall material, ceiling material, or floor material to come into contact with air and allowing ventilation is formed at the rear of the wall material, ceiling material, or floor material. The building further comprises a circulation means capable of circulating air between a living space and the rear space. The air in the living space is purified by the contact thereof with the wall material, ceiling material, or floor material. In the rear space, also these wall material, ceiling material, or floor material is brought into contact with the air to efficiently purify the air.
