PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper processing device that is not enlarged while having various processing functions. SOLUTION: The paper processing device 1 giving processing to paper while carrying the paper, comprises a carrying means 2 carrying the paper one by one; an option processing device portion 7 provided in the middle of a carrying path 20 structured by the carrying means 2, and carrying out processing of optionally selected contents; and carrying driving means for driving the carrying means 2 and a processing driving means for driving the option processing device portion 7 which are provided on a device body 10. The option processing device portion 7 has a processing means carrying out the processing of the optionally selected contents, and is detachably provided to the device body 10.
