PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder supply method which prevents powder from staying in a gap between the valve box and valve body of a powder valve. SOLUTION: The powder supply method employs the powder valve having the valve box and the valve body disposed in the valve box and used to open or close a powder passage by rotating via a valve shaft. A powder conveying pipe having a narrow-diameter part insertable in the powder passage of the valve body is disposed upstream of the powder inlet of the valve box. When the powder passage of the valve body is opened to supply powder, at least part of the narrow diameter part of the powder conveying pipe is inserted into the powder passage of the valve body from the powder inlet of the valve box.
