The air duct module for fitting in the flow passage of a downstream air duct of an air humidifying unit has a number of identical planar sections (10) orientated parallel to the direction (16) of the airflow. The extent of the planar sections in the direction of the airflow is greater than the spacing of two adjacent planar sections. The planar sections are uniformly distributed within the whole flow passage of the air duct. The planar sections are constructed is corrugated form, and may have a zigzag shape in cross section.
