<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a belt unit is inexpensively and easily positioned and the meandering of a belt is hardly caused. <P>SOLUTION: A driving roller 21 and a tension roller 23 are set as two rollers having the longest distance in the circumferential direction of the belt out of the rollers about which the belt is trained. The driving roller 21 is set as a master reference for positioning with respect to a main body apparatus. A slave reference shaft 22 piercing through side plates 14 and 15 is arranged in a belt loop between the driving roller 21 and the tension roller 23 as a slave reference for positioning. When the shaft 22 is deviated, it is corrected to keep the parallelism of the tension roller 23 by making belt tension have deviation at both ends of the roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
