<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television broadcast receiver for a mobile unit capable of successively listening to the sound of digital television broadcast even if the reception state of a digital television signal becomes worse. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit 11 in the digital television broadcast receiver 10 for the mobile unit determines the reception state of a signal for a high-definition television. More specifically, when reception field strength data are larger than prescribed reception field strength and error rate data are smaller than a prescribed error rate, a high-definition television signal is successively received. Meanwhile, when the reception field strength data are smaller than the prescribed reception field strength or the error rate data are larger than the prescribed error rate, a sound signal for a cellular phone is automatically changed over to a reception signal, thus automatically receiving the sound signal for the cellular phone even if the high-definition television signal cannot be received, and hence enabling the user to successively listen to the sound having the same content as high-definition television broadcast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
