<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable electrooptical device by which fracture of insulating film is prevented and which is excellent in a short circuit prevention effect, and an electronic apparatus equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device has a first substrate 10, a color filter layer 12 provided on the first substrate 10, a protection layer 13 provided on the color filter layer 12, a first electrode 14 for display provided on the protection layer 13, the insulating film 15 provided on the first electrode 14 for display, an orientation film 16 provided on the insulating film 15, a second substrate 20 placed opposite to the first substrate 10, a second electrode 24 for display provided on the second substrate 20, and an electrooptical material 50 placed between the first substrate 10 and the second substrate 20, and film stress of the insulating film 15 is more than 9.8×10<SP>4</SP>N/m<SP>2</SP>and less than 9.8×10<SP>7</SP>N/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
