PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech recognition device capable of performing speech recognition with higher precision and providing its result. SOLUTION: The speech recognition device is equipped with an acquiring means 102 of acquiring a sound signal, a speech recognizing means 120 of recognizing a speech from the sound signal acquired by the acquiring means 102, an output means 150 of outputting the speech recognition result of the speech recognizing means 120, a feature quantity extracting means 104 of extracting a feature quantity showing a feature of the sound signal from the sound signal acquired by the acquiring means 102, a sound deciding means 108 of deciding a sound kind showing the kind of the sound of the sound signal based upon the feature quantity extracted by the feature quantity extracting means 104, and an output control means 140 of controlling the speech recognition result to be outputted from the output means 150 based upon the sound kind decided by the sound deciding means 108.
