PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten crushing capacity of chips while preventing bridging in a hopper. SOLUTION: In this chip crusher 1, an upper rotary shaft 35 having flat blades 45 on the circumference thereof is roughly horizontally born on an upper part of a hopper 11 having a supply opening port 13 at an upper part and a delivery port 15 at a lower part, baffle pieces 33 are provided in parallel with the shaft 35 at the outside of the rotary locus of the blades 45, to thereby perform primary crushing by the shaft 35 and baffle pieces 33. At the lower part of the hopper 11, a lower rotary shaft 37 provided with raking blades 53 on the circumference is roughly horizontally born. Secondary crushing is efficiently performed between the blades 53 and lower inner wall of the hopper 11, and further between the blades 45 and blades 53. Chips subjected to the secondary crushing are carried out of the delivery port 15 to the outside of the hopper 11 by a sending screw conveyer 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
