<p>A paper web dewatering press has a ring-shaped press mantle that forms a nip face over a hydraulically (4) operated press shoe. Following application, the press shoe is lowered by a mechanically operated spring (11) lever (7). the press nip gap opens when hydraulic (4) pressure fails or falls. The nip gap is an elongated zone between the overhead drum and the press mantle. The spring-operated return arm is located at the side of the press.</p> |
