The fitting for a water faucet has a cylindrical body (2) which is rotated around its symmetrical axis. An inlet (10) is at one end of the body with a water pipe connector (12), and a flow channel is through it leading to an outlet (8) at the outer side of the body. The flow channel in the body can be closed by a shut-off valve (14), operated by a hand grip (16) at the other end of the cylindrical body. The cylindrical body can have the outer cross section shape of a circle, an oval, or an equilateral polygon.
