The device has a bearer vane profile (20) and at least one platform (18,19) for attachment to a higher order component. Each platform encloses an obtuse angle (22,23) with a longitudinal axis (21) of the bearer vane profile. Two platforms can be provided at opposite ends of the bearer plane profile. At least one platform can be straight or partially or fully curved. Independent claims are also included for the following: a turbine, especially a gas turbine.
