<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten incident light efficiency and luminance of a backlight. <P>SOLUTION: Light emitting diodes 3 are disposed so as to be opposed to a light incident surface 11 of a light transmissive light guide plate 1 having a side surface as the light incident surface 11, one flat surface as a light emission surface and the other flat surface as a reflection surface. Light guide parts 71 and 72 respectively extending from the light emission surface and the reflection surface opposite to each other so as to sandwiching the light emitting diodes 3 are formed integrally with the light guide plate 1 and highly reflective reflection sheets 81 and 82 are disposed on the surfaces opposed to the light guide parts 71 and 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
