<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably reduce necessary power of a compressor irrespective of fluctuation of NG demand. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen liquefying device 20 is provided with a liquid hydrogen producing line 21A carrying gaseous hydrogen to be used as a raw material, a hydrogen circulation circuit 21B carrying gaseous hydrogen for cooling the gaseous hydrogen and carrying out a refrigerating cycle, an LNG circuit 21C carrying liquefied natural gas, a heat source heat exchanger 51 cooling gaseous hydrogen sucked into a high pressure side compressor 33 of the hydrogen circulation circuit 21B by the liquefied natural gas of the LNG circuit 21C, a heat storing device 55, and a change-over means 37 for changing between heat storage operation and cold using operation.
