<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drum capable of generating a sound having a timbre of a bamboo material enhanced when the body shell of the drum is hit with sticks. <P>SOLUTION: The drum 1 is equipped with the body shell 3 having opening parts at both ends and laser 13 closing the opening parts, and the body shell 3 comprises a cylindrical inner shell part 5 and an outer shell part 7 formed by arranging many long-sized arcuate bamboo materials 7a obtained by longitudinally splitting cylindrical bamboo around the inner shell part 5. The bamboo materials 7a are each arranged having its skin side opposite outside the body shell 3 and also has both ends positioned corresponding to the opening side of the inner shell part 5 to form a space part 9 having a closed section between the bamboo material 7a and inner shell part 5, and the leather 13 is pressed against the bamboo material 7a and inner shell part 5 to close both lengthwise ends of the space part 9 and both the end openings of the inner shell part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
