PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration by which a user can know the change of attached state in attachable and detachable objects immediately when the change occurs. SOLUTION: An image data processor 100 has a function for detecting whether a compact flash 18 and a DIMM (dual inline memory module) 35 configured attachably and detachably to/from a device main body. Concretely, the mounting capacity of the compact flash 18 and the DIMM 35 is stored in an EEPROM 30, a change in mounting capacity is confirmed on the basis of the mounting capacity stored in the EEPROM 30 before the power is turned off and the mounting capacity of the compact flash 18 and the DIMM 35 detected when the power is newly turned on after it is turned off, and whether the attachable and detachable objects are detached is detected.
