PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data generating/utilizing system which is always operated in a state of receiving only an execution instruction regarding actually executable processing. SOLUTION: The image data generating/utilizing system includes one or more digital complex machines and a scan agent computer which executes a processing for storing a file of image data of an original manuscript generated by each digital complex machine in a common folder and a processing for transmitting an e-mail to which the file is attached in cooperation with each digital complex machine. The system has following constitution. Mail transmission propriety presenting information, which indicates whether it is ready to execute mail transmission, is acquired from the scan agent computer at the time of displaying various screens in each digital complex machine (S101, S102). When the acquired mail transmission propriety presenting information indicates that the mail transmission is unavailable, it is constituted so as to display a screen which shows a state that the execution instruction of the scan mail transmission processing is not accepted (S107).
