PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection precision of incident light by suppressing crosstalk between channels. SOLUTION: A photomultiplier tube 1 comprises a photo cathode 5 which is fixed inside the incident window 13 in a sealed container 3 and converts the light entered from outside into photoelectrons; a micro-channel plate 7 which is provided in the sealed container 3 so as to be opposed to the photo cathode 5 and multiplies the photoelectrons emitted from the photo cathode 5; an electrode 19i and an electrode 19o of flat plate shape which are provided along an electron incident face 7i and an electron emitting face 7c of the micro-channel plate 7 and supply voltage to the micro-channel plate 7; and a positive electrode 9 which is provided a plurality of pieces on the other side in the sealed container 3 so as to be opposed to the micro-channel plate 7 and takes out the electrons emitted from the micro-channel plate 7 as an output signal.
