PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of reducing friction resistance force generated between both sides in a fitting process and thereby improving workability in the fitting. SOLUTION: A female housing 20 is provided with an elastically deformable lock arm 38, and a male housing 10 is provided with a locked part 13. In the process of fitting both the housings 10 and 20 to each other, the lock arm 38 is once elastically deformed while slidingly contacting the locked part 13; and when both the housings 10 and 20 are normally fitted to each other, the lock arm 38 is restored and locked to the locked part 13. Since a front surface 14 of the locked part 13 facing to the lock arm 38 in the fitting process is formed into a circular shape, a widthwise central part 14a of the front surface 14 of the locked part 13 is partially brought into sliding contact with the lock arm 38 in the fitting.
