PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which is compatible with a reproducing device and with which images can be recorded and reproduced continuously using removable recording media of low recording capacity. SOLUTION: In the recording apparatus in which recording media can be exchanged, before media exchange at the time of recording, the title of media which is to be inserted next is prepared by citing the title of a recording medium which is inserted into the apparatus presently. Then, before the media exchange, next media title is recorded in the medium as link-destination information.
