PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for inserting an endoscope which allows a lubricant to be supplied uniformly to the entire inner peripheral surface of the auxiliary tool without increasing the diameter of the auxiliary tool. SOLUTION: The lubricant is supplied from a lubricant supply portion 72 to a tube body 51 of an over tube 50. The lubricant is injected from an injection port 66, flows to a lubricant supply path 68, and supplied to the inside of the tube body 51 through a lubricant supply path 78 and a plurality of openings 75, 75... formed on the tube body 51. The lubricant can be supplied to the entire inside of the tube body 51. Because a plurality of the openings 75, 75... are formed at predetermined intervals from the base end portion to the tip portion of the tube body 51, the lubricant is supplied to the entire region of the inner peripheral surface of the tube body 51. Further, the openings 75, 75... are formed in such a way that their opening areas increase from the base end portion to the tip portion, so that a lubricant supply can be uniformed in the entire region of the inner peripheral surface of the tube body 51.
