METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING DIAGNOSIS OF ENCEPHALOPATHY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit an objective diagnosis result by enabling an ROI to be set for the input data of an encephalogram of a subject without using a hand process.

SOLUTION: An input MRI encephalogram is aligned to correct a spacial deviation (a step 1). A gray matter tissue is extracted from the aligned encephalogram (a step 2). A first image smoothing (1) is executed on the extracted encephalogram (a step 3). An anatomical standardization is executed on the first smoothed encephalogram (4). A second image smoothing (2) is executed on the standardized encephalogram. A density value correction is executed on the second smoothed image (a step 6). A statistical comparison between the corrected encephalogram and an MRI encephalogram of a normal is executed (a step 7). An analysis by the ROI is also executed (a step 8). The analysis result is provided as the result of the diagnosis.
