<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit capable of switching between a continuously variable transmission state and a stepped transmission state, and a control device capable of reflecting the liking of a user in the switching. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission state switching type transmission mechanism 10 switchable between the electrically continuously variable transmission state and stepped transmission state is optionally switched between the continuously variable transmission state and the stepped transmission state by a switching control means 50 on the basis of a selected state of a seesaw switch 44 for selecting either of the continuously variable transmission state or the stepped transmission state by a manual operation. Therefore, travel reflecting the liking of a user can be obtained. For example, a user can select the continuously variable transmission state in the transmission mechanism 10 by the manual operation when desiring a travel by which the feeling of the continuously variable transmission and a fuel consumption improvement effect can be obtained. On the other hand, a user can select the stepped transmission state in the transmission mechanism 10 by manual operation when desiring an improvement in feeling by changing the engine rotation speed according to a change gear of the stepped transmission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
