<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance substrate for mounting a light emitting element which can increases light extracting efficiency from the light emitting element and can obtain high brightness, and a light emitting device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate 1 for mounting a light emitting element is equipped with a light reflecting layer 3 and transparent insulating layer 4 formed on an insulating layer 2 in order, a mounting portion 5a for the light emitting element 6 formed on the transparent insulating layer 4, and a wiring conductor 5 formed from the surrounding of the mounting portion 5a to the side surface or lower surface of the insulating substrate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
