摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically drive an auxiliary machine gear box in order to match a high power demand by the modern aircraft. SOLUTION: In the mechanical driving system for an auxiliary machine gear box (24) of a gas turbine engine, the engine has a high-pressure drive shaft (12) and a low-pressure drive shaft (14). The mechanical driving system comprises a number one tower shaft (36), a number two tower shaft (38), a number one lay-shaft (44), and a number two lay-shaft (46). The number one tower shaft is driven by the high-pressure drive shaft. The number two tower shaft is driven by the low-pressure drive shaft. The number one lay-shaft is driven by the number one tower shaft, and connected to the auxiliary machine gear box.
