PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die and an aggregate of the dies capable of molding an optical element wherein an optical axis of a concave at one side coincides with an optical axis of a convex at the other side with a high precision. SOLUTION: The molding die 1 comprises a male die 2 and a female die 15 and is a molding die for molding an optical element having a convex and a cocave on respectively both sides. The male die 2 protrudes towards the female die 15 and provides a cicular male side tapered part 4 with a tapered outer peripheral face 5 in which the outer diamter gradually reduces towards the female die 15 and a first molding part for molding the concave of the optical element. The female die 15 is capable of engaging with the male side tapered part 4 and provides a cicular female side tapered part 17 with a tapered inner peripheral face 18 in which an inner diamter gradually increases towards the male die 2 and a second molding part for molding the convex of the optical element, at mold clamping the male die 2 and the female die 15, the tapered outer peripheral face 5 is contacted with the tapered inner peripheral face 18 and it is so constructed that the center axis 101 of the male side tapered part 4 may be coincide with the center axis 103 of the female side tapered part 17.
